Allison Hughes is an Instructional Designer, based in the Bay Area, California. After receiving her B.A., English Literature in 2012, Allison began work as an Instructional Aide II at the College of San Mateo. Allison found a passion for education and supporting learners and faculty to achieve their goals in their work and education.
Allison received her Certificate in E-Learning Design in 2015 and her M.A. Education, Instructional Technology, in 2017 from San Francisco State University. Allison began work as Cañada College’s Instructional Technologist in 2016 and began offering Instructional Design consultation services to several California colleges in 2019. Allison accepted a position as Cañada’s Faculty Instructional Designer in 2023.
When Allison isn’t at work, she spends her time reading, making art, and spending time with her daughter, husband and 5 (yes 5!) cats.
